Locum: OB/GYN 24-hour call coverage in NE CT about 1hr from Hartford

Seeking an OB/GYN for 24-hour locum call coverage supporting labor & delivery about 1hr from Hartford, 30 mins from Worcester, MA, and 45 mins from Providence, RI.

• Board Certified / Eligible OB/GYN
• 24 hours Call Coverage (7a-7a or 7:30a-7:30a)
• Responsible for post-partum rounding, circumcisions, deliveries, C-sections, answering service calls overnight (5p-7a), ER calls, consults, and add-on surgeries
• Scheduled C-sections are completed by our providers (eg. patient has a booked repeat C-section)
• Typically need anywhere from 2-4 shifts per month
• Generally do about 30 deliveries per month
• Only 1-2 admissions or deliveries per day (usally a few triage cases as well)
• Expected to be on-site when a patient is present in labour (can be off-site within 15 min drive if no active labour patients)
• Have an onsite call room
• Always have a General Surgeon on Call for the hospital
• For GYN surgery, have an experienced PA or sometimes an MD as an assist
• Local candidates preferred
• Competitive 24 hour Call Rate + malpractice covered
